Tulungagung, 17 June 2026 – Organizing College (PTP) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung officially opened the implementation Beginner Lecturer Competency Improvement Program (PKDP) Year 2026 on Wednesday (17/06/2026) located at Crown Victoria Hotel Tulungagung. This activity is part of a strategic effort to improve the quality and professionalism of novice lecturers in the Islamic Religious Higher Education environment (PTKI).
PKDP 2026 which was organized by PTP UIN SATU Tulungagung this year was attended by 314 participants from 35 Islamic Religious College (PTKI) from various regions. In its implementation, PKDP activities are divided into: three batches, that is Batch I as much as 120 participant, Batch II as much as 120 participant, and Batch III as much 74 participant, to ensure the learning and mentoring process runs optimally.
At the opening session, Head of Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung as the head of the organizer submits a report on the implementation of the activity. In the report, it was stated that the implementation of PKDP was a form of institutional commitment to supporting increasing the academic capacity of novice lecturers, especially in strengthening pedagogical competence, professional, social, and personality as the main foundation in carrying out the duties of the tridharma of higher education.

The Head of LPM also explained that the trust given to UIN SATU Tulungagung as one of the PKDP Organizing Universities is a big mandate that must be carried out optimally.. Therefore, The entire series of activities has been well prepared so that participants gain quality learning experiences and have a real impact on the development of their academic careers.
Meanwhile, in his speech, Chancellor of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung expressed his appreciation to all participants and home universities who have entrusted the process of developing the competence of novice lecturers through PKDP at UIN SATU Tulungagung.

The Chancellor emphasized that lecturers have a strategic position in determining the quality of higher education. Because of that, Beginning lecturers need to be equipped not only with teaching skills, but also with a deep understanding of academic ethics, scientific development, learning innovation, as well as commitment to carrying out the tridharma of higher education professionally.
Furthermore, The Chancellor said that PKDP activities are a long-term investment in building superior human resources in the Islamic religious higher education environment. The participants are expected to be able to become academics who are adaptive to current developments, able to respond to global challenges, and continue to uphold Islamic values in carrying out his profession as an educator.
Through the implementation of PKDP 2026 This, UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung reiterates its commitment to supporting improving the quality of Islamic higher education in Indonesia while also contributing to producing superior professional lecturers, competent, and have integrity.

The opening activity took place with great solemnity and high enthusiasm from all participants who were ready to follow the entire series of programs until the end. It is hoped that it will be through PKDP 2026 This, all participants can develop academic competencies in a sustainable manner and become an important part in the progress of Islamic religious higher education in Indonesia.
