Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) State Islamic University (UIN) Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung successfully organized it Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Awareness ISO 21001:2018 on Wednesday and Thursday, 20 -21 November 2024. This event was held at the Crown Victoria Hotel, Tulungagung, This activity lasted for two days by presenting expert speakers, And. Sholichin Agung Darmawan.
This event was attended by the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor 1, Vice Chancellor 3, Kabiro, along with all participants, namely the head of the institution, head of unit, and faculty leadership. This activity aims to increase institutional understanding and readiness in implementing ISO 21001:2018 as an international standard for the management of educational organizations.
In the speech of LPM leader Prof. Dr. Agus Zaenul Fitri conveyed the importance of ISO 21001:2018 as a guide in managing a more structured education system, efficient, and responsive to community needs. Not only that, ISO 21001:2018 is a strategic step to ensure that educational services at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah are able to compete globally and have a positive impact on stakeholders.
In this event Ir. Sholichin Agung Darmawan delivered several materials regarding:
- Introduction to ISO 21001:2018 which discusses the main principles of quality management in educational organizations.
- Implementation Stages which provide practical guidance in implementing this standard in educational institutions.
- Share successful experiences of implementing ISO 21001:2018 in other educational organizations.
Discussions are active, with participants conveying various views and opportunities in implementing this standard at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah.
This FGD produced several important recommendations, namely forming a special ISO work team 21001:2018 in each faculty and unit as well as increasing synergy between faculties and units to share best practices in implementing standards.
This activity ends with the hope that all participants can immediately implement the insights gained to improve the quality of educational services at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah.
With the implementation of this FGD, It is hoped that UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung will be increasingly prepared to become a superior and globally competitive educational institution through the implementation of ISO 21001:2018. Not only that, With this FGD, the insights gained can be applied effectively in their respective institutions. This activity is an initial milestone for educational institutions to improve the quality of their services to ISO standards 21001:2018 as the main guide.
With the success of this FGD, LPM hopes to encourage the acceleration of educational transformation towards superior services, inclusive, and relevant to the needs of global society.
