Tulungagung, 3 February 2021 – Head of UIN Curriculum Center Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, Dr. Syaiful Hadi, M.Pd, Leading the Merdeka Learning Curriculum Socialization Activities and Merdeka Campus (Mbkm). This event was attended by the Chancellor, All Vice Chancellors, Postgraduate Director, Dean, head of program, and Chair of the Study Program from various levels of education.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, in his speech, emphasized that the academic field is the lifeblood for the progress of a higher education institution. “Today we will provide comprehensive outreach to all Heads of Study Programs at UIN SATU Tulungagung regarding the Independent Campus Learning Curriculum and its overall implementation.,” he said.
One of the points discussed was the importance of main performance indicators based on the Study Program. “Study programs are expected to follow existing key performance indicator guidelines, one of which is the implementation of curriculum adjustments to the implementation of the MBKM policy,” added Warek I.

Dr. Syaiful Hadi emphasized that students are given the freedom to carry out research together and also carry out student exchanges between universities. In this socialization, It is hoped that there will be direction and assistance from the team so that the Heads of Study Programs can adapt the curriculum to the MBKM concept. “There is no overall curriculum change, but the presentation between theory and practice needs to be considered and needs to be balanced integrally,” he said.
The discussion also reviewed supporting activities for the MBKM curriculum, such as student exchange, internship/work practice, teaching assistance in educational units, research/research, humanitarian project, entrepreneurial activities, independent projects/thematic KKN, and the obstacles that may be encountered.

An important note from this activity is that the preparation of the curriculum will involve partners from the business world, industry, government and private agencies as well as other stakeholders. This will be supported by the existence of an MoU or MoA or PKS with partner institutions, preparation of superior courses taught online, curriculum preparation guide, academic rules, as well as SOPs including rules regarding grade conventions and the use of blended learning models.
This activity is expected to be the first step for UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung in implementing the concept of Independent Learning and Independent Campus to improve the quality of higher education that is adaptive and innovative in accordance with the demands of the times..
