RPL Portfolio Assessment FGD : Strengthen the Implementation of Past Learning Recognition at UIN SATU Tulungagung

Tulungagung – In order to improve the quality of implementation of Past Learning Recognition (RPL), Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah State Islamic University Tulungagung through UIN SATU Tulungagung Quality Assurance Institute organize activities Focus Group Discussion (FGD) RPL Portfolio Assessment on Friday, 8 Mei 2026. This activity was attended by all levels of university leadership and faculty leaders as part of efforts to strengthen understanding of the portfolio assessment mechanism in the RPL scheme.

  

The activity began with an opening by the presenter which was continued by singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya and Mars UIN SATU Tulungagung. The atmosphere of the activity was solemn and full of the spirit of togetherness in supporting improving the quality of academic services.

 

Furthermore, Chief UIN SATU Tulungagung Quality Assurance Institute submit an activity report explaining the background and objectives of the FGD implementation. In the report, it was stated that this activity aims to provide a comprehensive understanding to university and faculty leaders regarding the mechanisms and standards for portfolio assessment in the RPL program so that implementation runs in accordance with applicable regulations..

The activity was then officially opened by the Chancellor Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah State Islamic University Tulungagung. In his command, The Chancellor emphasized the importance of implementing RPL as a strategy to expand access to higher education as well as recognition of learning experiences obtained through non-formal channels, informal, and work experience. The Chancellor also hopes that all elements of leadership can properly understand the portfolio assessment mechanism so that the assessment process can be carried out objectively, accountable, and quality.

 

 

In the main session, Participants took part in RPL portfolio assessment training presented by the Head of the Curriculum Center, Dr. Syaiful Hadi, M.Pd. In his presentation, he explained in detail the basic concepts of RPL, portfolio assessment principles, as well as the steps that must be taken by assessors in evaluating portfolio documents submitted by prospective RPL students.

Through this FGD activity, it is hoped that all university and faculty leaders will have the same understanding of the RPL portfolio assessment mechanism so that the implementation of the RPL program in Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah State Islamic University Tulungagung can run optimally and still uphold high academic quality standards.
