In order to improve quality and international accreditation, LPM UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung carried out benchmarking activities together with LPM UIN Salatiga and LP2MP Sebelas Maret University (US) on 23-24 October 2024. This activity was held as a form of synergy between universities in building higher and internationally oriented educational quality standards.
This two-day event aims to strengthen understanding and implementation of educational quality standards relevant to international accreditation criteria at UIN SATU Tulungagung through learning and understanding of the quality assurance system that has been implemented at UIN Salatiga and UNS. During this activity, the UIN SATU Tulungagung LPM team had the opportunity to discuss policies, procedure, and good practices implemented by both institutions regarding education quality assurance.
There are a series of activities on the first day of visiting UIN Salatiga, namely the opening of the event with remarks from the Chair of LPM UIN Salatiga. The benchmarking agenda includes discussion sessions related to the development of quality assurance indicators, quality assessment mechanism, and strategies for increasing accreditation to international levels. Participants also discussed best practices (best practices) which have been implemented by each institution, especially LP2MP UNS which has international accreditation experience. Besides that, Various innovations in the application of education quality assurance technology were also presented. Finally, souvenir handover and closing.
On the second day, we visited Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, namely remarks from the head of LPM UNS explaining the implementation of quality assurance and quality improvement measures implemented at Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, discussion and question and answer session guided by representatives of LPM members of Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta regarding evaluation of educational quality and study program accreditation, and finally the presentation of souvenirs and closing of the event.
Collaboration between LPM UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, LPM UIN Salatiga, and LP2MP UNS are expected to be able to have a positive impact on efforts to improve the quality of education at each university, as well as supporting the mission of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung in obtaining international accreditation.
