Tulungagung, 2 October 2023 – A big step in increasing the competence of novice lecturers (PKDP) has been taken by the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung. Mark success, LPM UIN Satu Tulungagung has become a PKDP Training Center (PTP PKDP) prime for the year 2023. This success is not only an important momentum for the campus, but also reflects their commitment to improving the quality of teaching staff in Islamic universities in Indonesia.
Implementation of PKDP is an integral part of increasing lecturer competency. In carrying out his duties, Lecturers must have pedagogical competence, professional, personality, and social issues required in educational practice, study, and dedication to the community. PKDP activities are the basis for lecturers in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education, which includes education, study, and dedication to the community.
LPM UIN Satu Tulungagung has a big responsibility in ensuring the success of PKDP implementation. Became the first PTP PKDP for the year 2023, LPM UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung is determined to carry out this activity as well as possible, ensure that all participants gain the understanding and knowledge necessary to improve their quality as lecturers.
Implementation of PKDP year 2023 followed by 80 participants from various Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia. This activity is held using an offline and online scheme, mencakup In Service Course (ISC) I, On the Job Course, dan In Service Course 2. ISC I is implemented offline for 6 day at the Crown Hotel Tulungagung, while the On the Job Course is conducted online via the Zoom or Google Meet platform. In Service Course 2 is a follow-up activity which is also carried out online and focuses on assessing the final results of the PKDP participants' assignments.
It is hoped that this PKDP activity can provide a comprehensive understanding for the participants in carrying out their duties as lecturers. Through a combination of theoretical and practical learning, Participants are expected to improve their skills in learning planning, implementation of the learning process, assessment of learning outcomes, as well as in carrying out research and community service.
“By becoming the first PTP PKDP for the year 2023, We are committed to organizing this activity as well as possible. We believe that increasing lecturer competency is a very important investment in improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia,” said one representative from LPM UIN Satu Tulungagung.
The success of LPM UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung in becoming PTP PKDP for the year 2023 demonstrate extraordinary achievements and a strong commitment to supporting the development of human resources in the field of education. With this effort, It is hoped that the quality of higher education in Indonesia will continue to improve, provide a positive impact on the development of the nation and state as a whole.
