UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung Holds Student Exchange MBKM Program Briefing

Tulungagung, 22 February 2023 – Center for Curriculum and Learning Development at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, under the leadership of Mr. Dr.. Syaiful Hadi, take proactive steps in supporting the learning and credit mobility program (Mbkm) by holding a briefing for students and lecturers. This activity is an integral part of the campus's efforts to broaden academic horizons and strengthen collaboration between universities, which will ultimately provide greater benefits for the development of higher education in Indonesia.

The provision of students and lecturers for the BKP MBKM program is carried out every semester as part of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung's commitment to ensure that all parties involved fully understand the process and benefits of this program. In the even semester of the academic year 2022-2023, The activity was held on the date 22 February 2023 in the Rectorate Hall Fl. 3 UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, with resource persons from IAIN Kediri, Dr. Muniron, M.Ag. Meanwhile, in the odd semester of the academic year 2023-2024, debriefing was carried out on the date 4 October 2023 in the Hall Fl. 6 Arif Mustakim Building, with resource persons from the Higher Education Academic Development Sub-Directorate, Dr. Muh. Khoirul Rifa'i, M.Pd.I.

The aim of this briefing activity is as follows:

  • Provide students with an in-depth understanding of the MBKM program of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung every semester.
  • Provide in-depth understanding to lecturers about the MBKM program of UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung in odd semesters.

Father of Dr. Syaiful Hadi, as head of the curriculum development center, underlines the importance of this provision in improving the quality of education at UIN SATU Tulungagung. “This briefing is an important first step in ensuring that all parties involved in the MBKM program understand well the objectives and procedures involved.,” he said.

One form of activity in the MBKM program that has been implemented at UIN SATU Tulungagung is student exchange through the PERMATA and MERPATI applications.. In this even semester, as much as 40 students from outside campus choose to take courses at UIN SATU Tulungagung through the Permata PTKIN program. The students came from three universities, namely IAIN Langsa, UIN Maliki Malang, and UIN Raden Fatah.

From 40 students involved, they choose various majors at UIN SATU Tulungagung. The details show diverse interests, Where 25 students choose the MI Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI), 4 students choose the Library Science Study Program, 5 students choose the Tadris Physics Study Program, 2 students choose the Sharia Financial Management Study Program, and each 1 students choose the Sharia Business Management Study Program, Sharia Economic Law, and English Tadris.

Not only inbound students, students' interest in attending lectures outside other universities (outbound) at UIN SATU Tulungagung is also very high. A lot 88 UIN SATU students choose to continue their studies at 10 foreign universities. These details show a wide range of interests in various majors, from Constitutional Law to Mathematics Tadris.

Head of Curriculum Center, Father of Dr. Syaiful Hadi, stated that this provision was an important foundation for the success of the MBKM program at UIN SATU Tulungagung. “We hope that through this provision, students and lecturers can fully understand the role and benefits of the MBKM program, and can contribute positively to developing the quality of education on campus,” he said.
